Want To Escape Everyday Stresses? The Answer Is Holistic Massage.

This holistic treatment will help you to relax and unwind your mind and body.  Because It helps to relieve fatigue in the muscle tissues by improving drainage and removing lactic acid.  It also encourages the release of endorphins which helps to reduce pain and promote a sense of wellbeing. Alongside this, massage may relax tight muscles, reducing muscle aches and pains, back and neck pain and more. So, if you’re experiencing joint pain, back pain or muscle tightness, book your massage appointment today.

Deep Tissue Massage

This type of massage differs from holistic massage as the aim is to help clients with specific problem areas by reducing tension, treating knots and easing pain.

Muscle knots are sections within the various muscles of the body that have constricted and create consistent pain with each individual.  We can combat this with a variety of techniques and tools to reach further into the muscles and connective tissues.  Ultimately, this helps promote faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation and soreness.

Indian Head Massage

This is a very relaxing holistic treatment focusing on your back, neck, shoulders, scalp and face.

Indian Head Massage can be particularly beneficial for people who suffer with headaches and who grind their teeth.  First, the oil is applied to the hair and is absorbed into the roots which can help remove dryness and help some scalp disorders. Second, the most relaxing head massage takes place. Alongside the relaxing benefits, this type of massage can also soften the skin of the scalp, promote hair growth and slow down hair loss.

Natural Face Lift Massage

This is an intense yet non-invasive approach to rejuvenation that helps restore balance, vitality and radiance.

In today’s world where most of us are stressed, the mind often works harder than the body, the inner tension shows in the face due to our overactive thoughts and unresolved emotions, this causes the muscles of the face, neck, shoulders and head to tighten.

Over time, with any chronic long term stress on the body is not good and this tension can lead to long term discomfort around the eyes, jaw, neck or shoulders and disrupt the body’s natural flow of energy.

These habitual patterns become attached into our expressions, shaping how we look and feel.

Benefits of Natural Face Lift

Cleansing the skin

Enhancing circulation

Stimulating the lymphatic system

Softening lines and wrinkles

Releasing tension

Encouraging cell renewal

Cupping Therapy

Cupping Therapy has been around for thousands of years, and it is an ancient treatment which used cups on the skin to create suction.

This type of massage has many benefits and can help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and help with your overall well-being.  For instance, the suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow and sedate the nervous system. This can result in reduced muscle tightness and body tension. A fantastic form of TLC for muscle aches and pains.

Cupping uses cups that are placed over the oiled massaged skin and moved around in certain areas.  This can be very useful in releasing rigid soft tissue, draining excess fluids and toxins and loosening adhesions and muscle knots.

Dry Cupping can be incorporated into both Therapeutic and Deep Tissue Massage techniques to create an individual and personalised session for every client.

(Please note – Cupping Marks are one of the common and unfortunate misconceptions concerning cupping is the misinterpretation of the marks.  The round circles left on the body after the treatment are not bruises caused by cupping, instead, it’s when the discoloration occurs during the treatment process.  Generally, there is a noticeable change within 24 hours and the marks  can disappear either within a few days or it can take up to a week depending on the length of the cupping session.)

Pregnancy Massage

This is a wonderful treatment for both mother and baby.  It helps the woman to relax, supports her body through a period of the change and it can help prepare the whole body for birth.

Women can suffer many different, common health conditions during pregnancy. And having a massage can help to relieve the muscle aches and pains associate with this journey.  It is important for the woman to really enjoy the last month/weeks of her Pregnancy and having a massage can provide that special time for the client to unwind and gives her precious time to focus on only her and her baby.  Alongside this, massage is also good for the baby and can install a sense of calmness.  It has an indirect relaxing effect on the baby for example, as the mother releases oxytocin and prolactin as a result of skin stimulation.  Therefore, if the mother is overall more relaxed the more likely relaxed her pregnancy and birth will be too.

Tim Woods practice had been recommended by a friend who's been going to Tim over many years. I had hoped to be able to see Tim myself with my ailments but unfortunately he was on holiday and only Eliza was available. I was intending to move over to Tim once he was available for further consultation, but after my first appointment with Eliza I think I'll be remaining with her. In the initial consultation Eliza was very attentive and informative, showing good insight into the contributing factors causing my pain. Once on the bench she ran through various exercises and ranges of movement which confirmed her suspicions, and has arranged to email a selection of tailored exercises over to me that will hopefully start to ease the problem further until my next appointment with her. All in all a very encouraging first meeting that I would certainly recommend to my friends and anyone else who may read this.
Elisa is a fantastic practitioner. Very professional and knowledgeable. I first met her with a back/leg condition that made it very painful to walk. I limped in and walked out pain free. I now see her every 2 months for maintenance on my back and legs. I would highly recommend her.
